N. P. Greene, Nashua, New Hampshire

Not much is known about this firm. It was active between 1849 and 1871.

This publisher printed one juvenile series on its own imprint: Grandmamma Easy's New Pictorial Colored Toy Books. Of note is that it was also the co-publisher of the exact series with the same format and titles with Brown, Bazin & Co. Other Grandmamma Easy’s series had been published by several firms including Sprague, Durrie & Steele, etc. but the titles and contents are different from this series' books.

Grandmamma Easy's New Pictorial Colored Toy Books

1. General Tom Thumb
2. Old Dame Hicket
3. Pretty Poetical Spelling Book
4. Amusing Addition
5. Pretty Stories about the Camel
6. Illuminated Scripture Alphabet
7. Pretty Poetry, about Trees, Fruit and Flowers
8. New Tales for the Nursery
9. The Golden A B C
10. Troubles of Harry Careless

The exact date of the series is not known but a book with an 1852 inscription has been seen. Thus it would appear that the N. P. Green series predated the Brown, Bazin & Co. iteration of 1855.
