Knight, King & Co., Cleveland
In 1850 E. G. Knight withdrew from the Geo. H. Derby & Co. publishing, bookselling and stationary firm. He established with H. L. Smith and Alex Morrison the Smith, Knight & Co. in Cleveland.
By 1852 Smith, Knight & Co. had been succeeded by E. G. Knight & Co., also a bookseller, stationer and minor publisher.
In 1854 Knight, King & Co., a bookseller and stationer, was formed by Knight, D. L. King and Jn. M. Sterling. It succeeded E. G. Knight & Co.
In 1854 Knight, King & Co. published one series for juveniles.
"Pleasure Books" published by this firm have been seen with Sawyer, Ingersoll & Co. title page imprints. It appears that these books were published earlier in 1854 than the titles that had Knight, King title page imprints. See below.
