This series was introduced in 1875.
The ads and catalogue
listings for this series always list the six titles above. Of note is
that the Aesop's Fables shown below states Blue Jacket Series on the
spine and has the same format as the other Blue Jacket titles. It must
be considered part of the series even though it is never noted as such
and the subject material does not seem in sync with the other volumes.
Cloth. Various colors. Cover has a black line drawn decorative
pattern. Spine has gilt lettering and decoration. Full page
illustrations. 7.5" x 5.25"
