This series of ten volumes was initially published by H. W. Hewet in
1855/1856. D. Appleton & Co. also published these titles as did
Brown, Loomis.
Brown, Bazin & Co. published them in 1856 in the same format as the
original Hewet tittles with the exception of the cover imprint.
Card covers. Pictorial. 7" x 5.5". Illustrated by Thwaite.
I do not know if this firm also did a cloth bound version like Appleton
and Hewet.
Below is an example from this series published by Hewet. The Brown,
Bazin copy is the same except for the imprint.
