This series was introduced by Henry Hoyt in 1867. A new edition was
published in 1875.
The earliest books (1865) were blindstamped. It is not known whether
the blindstamped volumes were actually part of the series.
Most of the early ads/books note "Franky".
Below is the only format known at this time for this series. It is
unclear whether it is the first format (most likely) or the second
which was begun in 1875. Numerous partial page line drawn
illustrations.
Cloth. Green. Gilt spine letter boxes. Black line drawn cover
decorations. 18 mo.
