This twelve title series had previously been published by Degen,
Estes and subsequently was published by Dodd, Mead, Wm. Carter as well
as a number of other other firms. The books were written by Mrs.
Barbauld and Mrs. Edgeworth.
There are no dates in these volumes. The earliest Lee and Shepard ads
for these books are in 1868.
Cloth. Various colors. Blindstamped. Gilt spine lettering and
