Mrs. Leslie's Juvenile Series for Boys Play and Study Series (Mrs. Harriette Newell Woods Baker)

This series was first advertised in the fall of 1863 and first published as a series with 1864 title page imprints. These titles had previously been published by other firms. Sold individually or in a boxed set. In 1864 these titles were originally advertised as both "Mrs. Leslie's Juvenile Series for Boys" and the "Play an Study Series". By 1867 the set was only called the "Play and Study Series" in ads.

It appears that all of the Lee and Shepard editions from the beginning noted "Play and Study Series" on the spine. The format changed in 1868.
