These titles were published by other firms previously. All of these
books were included in Porter & Coates "Alta Library". They were
also part of the 1880 "Best editions of Popular 12 mos. series".
These titles were initially published by Porter & Coates in non
series formats. There is nothing on the books that identifies them as
being part of this series which was introduced in 1873. They were
originally boxed and the box would have noted the series name.
When I am able to find a common cover for these titles, I will show it
here.
