The books in this series are also part of the six volume Army and
Navy Series. The six volume Army and Navy Series was published in the
same formats but the covers says "Army and Navy Series" as opposed to
Soldier-Boy Series. Except for the covers, the books are identical.
This series could be obtained as a three book boxed set.

Cloth. Multiple colors seen. Gilt lettering on the cover and the
spine. Portrait of Optic on the cover. 7" x 5". 1882-1896
Format 2.
Cloth. Red seen. Picture of a sailor with a sword and soldier with a
rifle. 7.5" x 5". First printed in 1896.
