Dodd & Mead published the first American editions of the Stretton
books until 1875. Later books were published by Dodd, Mead & Co.
In 1871 titles #1-2 were issued in a uniform edition. By 1872 volumes
1-4 were noted to comprise the "Stretton Library". This series was
advertised into 1877.
Format: Dodd & Mead until 1875. Post-1875 Dodd, Mead & Co.
Cloth. Green. Black decorative pattern on the cover and spine. The
spine has gilt lettering. Earlier editions have gilt
lettering on the cover. 16 mo.

In 1883 the Stretton Library was released with nine titles as #6-9
were added to the series and the format was changed. The publisher was
Dodd, Mead & Co.
Later the Stretton books were part of various publisher's series.
