J. E. Tilton and Company published this set in 1860. Initially it
only included Volumes #1-3 (which are first editions). #1 had been
previously published in non series format but was included in
advertisements for this series by January, 1861. This set was
published into the late 1860's.

Cloth. Various colors. Gilt title lettered on the cover and the spine.
6.25" x 4". Sold individually or as a boxed set.
Later format (1863)
Cloth. Various colors. Blindstamped with embossed decorative cover
pattern. Gilt spine lettering.
