Bayly and Burns, Baltimore
This firm was in business between 1837 and 1839 at 132 Market Street
in Baltimore.
The only known juvenile series it published were chapbooks known as
the "Coloured Toys"
I have seen three different book lists for the same named series. The
cover formats are different.
There were two series that were designated as "Colored Toys".
Bayly & Burns published two "Coloured Toys" Series. Publisher's
advertisements state that other books were in preparation. Whether
other titles were ever included in the "Coloured Toys" series is
unknown. All three lists below have 12 titles which is a common number
of volumes for many chapbook series.
