George F. Cooledge & Brother, New York
This firm succeeded George F. Cooledge in 1844 with William P. Cooledge as a partner. It was active until about 1855.
The company mainly published the works of Shakespeare, primers and dictionaries. Its Webster dictionaries were among the best selling books in the United States. It was at the 323 Pearl Street address throughout its history.
It published one series for juveniles.

Described as intended for school libraries and general reading.

Three bindings were noted in 1846 and 1847. There is no priority
between the formats.
