Pease and Fisk
Fisk & Little, Albany
Frank H. Little
Details about these Albany firms are somewhat limited. They were
active between 1853 and 1865. Throughout their lives they were located
at 82 State Street in Albany, New York. The two juvenile series they
published were the same as the E. H. Pease and Co. series and both were
printed in the same format as Pease's books.
In the 1857 ad below Fisk & Little is noted as the successor to E.
H. Pease and Co. Prior to that however in July, 1853 a notice stated
that the firm of Pease and Fisk had been dissolved and that Pease would
remain at the 82 State Street address. Thus it would appear that Pease
and Fisk succeeded E. H. Pease and Co. and that Pease and Fisk was
succeeded by Fisk & Little.
Anthony Fisk was the named partner in the firm Pease and Fisk.
Frank Little was at 82 State Street as a bookseller, stationer and
blank book manufacturer. He published on his own imprint, Frank H.
Little, between 1858 until at least 1865.
