Earlier Sorin & Ball, a Philadelphia publisher, had printed twelve books in this series. It is unknown whether the other eight titles that Sorin & Ball had promised were ever printed.

It appears that there were only six titles in Hawley's series as compared to the 12 (or 20) in Sorin and Ball's.
