Hogan & Thompson, Philadelphia

Established by David Hogan and John Thompson in 1832. It dissolved in 1852.

David Hogan became a partner with Ephraim Conrad in about 1801. Their firm published the Philadelphia Repository. By 1802 Conrad had retired and Hogan was the sole editor of this short lived weekly periodical until 1803 when he was succeeded by John W. Scott. Even prior to this partnership and for years afterward David Hogan had his own namesake publishing and bookselling outfit.

John Thompson also published under his own name from the 1790's. He did some publishing after the demise of Hogan & Thompson.

This Philadelphia publisher printed two series for children/juveniles.
