Hoyt, Fogg and Donham, Portland, Maine
Edmund Sawyer Hoyt (1834-1885) was born in Warner, New Hampshire and
graduated from Dartmouth College. Along with Samuel Fogg he purchased
the Packard Bookstore in Portland, Maine in 1868 and established the
firm of Hoyt & Fogg.
In 1870 L. C. Breed joined the firm which then became Hoyt, Fogg &
Breed. Breed withdrew in 1872. In 1875 G. M. Donham became a partner in
a new company: Hoyt, Fogg & Donham. The latter firm was succeeded
in 1888 by Steven & Jones.
Hoyt, Fogg and Donham published books as well as stereocards.

Six juvenile series were published by these firms. It appears that
Hoyt, Fogg & Donham published only the Hazelwood series.
