Publisher's Series

Throughout the years, the Methodist Book Concern published a number of multivolume, multi-author series. Because of their size, some of these series are not detailed on this site. Nonetheless, I have attempted to list many of them here and, if known, show a sample cover. Note that the books in the publisher's series do not indicate what series they are part of.

As early as 1841, G. Lane & P. P. Sandford, publishers for the Methodist Book Concern, were publishing volumes in the "Youth's Library". Subsequently Lane & Tippett and Lane & Scott published the Children's Library Series A and Series B as well the Youth's Library.

Carlton & Phillips also published books in the Youth's Library.
In 1852 there were 325 titles. By 1855 there were 590 titles.

In 1891 this company was publishing Libraries #5, 11-20. It is not known at this time whether it or Phillips & Hunt ( probably) first published Libraries #9-12 or whether Hunt & Eaton ever published #7, #8 #9, and #10.
