New England (Universalist) Publishing House
This firm was established as the publishing arm of the Universalists
in 1862 and in May, 1865 bought the stock of Tompkins and Company. The
purchase included the well known periodicals' subscription lists of The
Universalist Quarterly and the Ladies' Repository.
This firm also reprinted the two Tompkin's Juvenile Series and
published a number of sets not previously published by Tompkins.
The juvenile series published included: Boston Series Home Circle Library (Tompkin's series) Kaleidoscope Pictures Life Stories for Children (Tompkin's series) Lily of the Valley Library Little Walter Series for the Seasons (Little Walter's Trundle-Bed Series) Myrtle Stories |
