Thomas B. Noonan & Co., Boston
Thomas B. Noonan succeeded the firm of Patrick Donahue (proprietor of
the Catholic Book Store) in 1879. Noonan was a well known dealer and
publisher of Catholic books and goods throughout its life. In addition
to the publication of religious books it also continued printing
"Donahue's Magazine". This house was succeeded by Marlier, Callanan
& Co.
Most of the titles below had been previously published by Patrick
Donahue, Kelly, Piet & Co., and Kelly, Hedian & Piet, and
Hedian & O'Brien. The later 1884-1885 titles that are part of the
Snowdrop Series and the Golden Crown Library appear to be Thomas B.
Noonan first editions.
By the 1890's Noonan's store on Tremont Street was selling religious
goods.
Thomas B. Noonan died in 1900
This firm published six series between 1883 and 1885.
