Benjamin Perkins & Co., Boston
Benjamin Perkins (1797-1870) was a native of Salem, Massachusetts. He moved to Boston in about 1827 after several years in Hanover, New Hampshire.
T. Marvin (1796-1882) was a native of Norwich, Connecticut. In 1823 he founded his printing and publishing business, T. R. Marvin & Co. in Boston.
Benjamin Perkins joined Theophilus R. Marvin in 1830 to establish Perkins & Marvin (Perkins, Marvin & Co. in 1834-1835). This firm was a bookselling and publishing outfit. By 1842 Perkins had left Marvin and was publishing on the Benjamin Perkins & Co. imprint.
Benjamin Perkins & Co. published one series for juveniles.
