Wier & White, Boston

Not much is known about this short lived Boston firm. The partners were Robert Wier and Benjamin White. Evidence of publishing has only been noted from 1849 to 1851. It was located at 11 Cornhill in 1849 but at 19 Washington in 1850 and 1851.

There is evidence that Wier & White published one series for juveniles.

The Phillips, Sampson series has eight titles. That series included "Pictorial A B C" which was not part of the Wier & White set.

Tappan & Whittemore also published this series in the 1850's.

Format:
Wraps. Various colors. Each title has a book specific cover picture. 10" x 7".

Sixteen pages including the covers and an illustrated title page in color: six pages with color illustrations and text, and six blank pages, one between each illustrated / text page.
