The Pretty A B C and The Fairy A B C books were released by Sheldon & Co. in 1860. The Child's A B C was published in 1862.

Sheldon introduced these three books as a series in the fall of 1862. Each book cost 20 cents.
It appears that this series was only published into 1863.
Thereafter the Illuminated A B C Series was published which was a three book set that included the Fairy A B C volume.
