Hill and Libby published the first edition of Volume #1. The first editions of Volume #2 and #3, and a reprint of #1 were published by E. O. Libby and Co.
The cover of the Hill and Libby Volume #1 has not been seen.
The Life of Daniel Boone was advertised by E. O. Libby & Co. as to be published as the fourth book in the series before January, 1859. It never published this title.
In 1860 Mason Brothers, a New York publisher, printed this series. Later J. B. Lippincott & Co. and Claxton, Remsen & Haffelfinger also published these books. Libby only published the first three titles in the series. Daniel Boone and Benjamin Franklin were added to the series later.
The Hill and Libby volume #1 presumably has the same format as the slightly later E. O. Libby and Co. book.
