This series was published in 1848 by G. W. Cottrell & Co. The
set was also published by T. W. Strong, a New York publisher. In the
Strong series "N. Y. Cries" replaced A, B, C,. Priority is unknown.
Each book has seven large colored plates except for "A, B, C," which
has sixteen colored plates.
None of these volumes have been seen.
