Aunt Mavor's Series
Published by McLoughlin Bros.
This series was advertised on the back of a John McLoughlin
published title. Presently there is no evidence that this latter firm
actually published the Aunt Mavor's Series.
The earliest of these volumes were published while the
Mcloughlin Bros. were at 24 Beekman (1859-1862) and at 30 Beekman
Street (1863-1869). Later books did not have an address noted on the
cover or on the back cover ads. This series was published at least into
the late 1880's
The "Aunt Mavor" title was previously used by Routledge and Routledge, Warne and Routledge for Toy Book Series.
Between 1859 and 1872 there were 11 titles.
