Although the author of these titles is purported to be Samuel G,.
Goodrich (Peter Parley), Goodrich notes in his autobiography that he
did not write them.
These books are reprints. In 1832 the first editions were published by
Collins and Hannay, a New York publisher.
Thomas, Cowperthwait & Co. printed the series in 1838, 1840, 1841,
1842, 1844, 1848 and 1851
All of the copies I have seen have either board covers or various
leather bindings. 7" x 4.5"
With the exception of the date, each volume's title page is unchanged
throughout the years.
