The first editions of titles #1-3 have the 25 Bromfield address on the title page. Book #4 notes Boston and Chicago. The first edition also only lists to itself in either the front or back ads. All four of the first editions have the format shown below.
Later editions have a rectangular box own the cover with = a pictorial book appropriate picture.

To determine whether book #4 (Young Supercargo) is a first edition, there must be no 1899 titles listed in the back ads. Examples of 1899 titles are "Wheat and Huckleberries", "Cadet Standish of the St. Louis" and "The Romance of Conquest".
