This series was introduced by Henry McGrath in 1864.
Editions in 1864, 1867, 1876 and 1878 have been seen. The 1867 and 1876 books are relatively uncommon. The books were sold individually or as a set. The cloth books were sold boxed whereas the fancy paper booklets were sold in a packet.
All the books except for #12 were written by Brother James.
The "fancy paper cover" books have not been seen.
