When first introduced as series by E. P. Dutton & Co. in 1882 there were twelve titles (14-25). By 1884 the series had 25 titles.
Two formats have been seen. One has E. P. Dutton & Co. as the main imprint. Other books with this cover have Griffith & Farran / Griffith, Farran, Okeden and Welsh (later) as the main imprint with Dutton secondary. I have designated this format as Format 1.
The second format notes that Dutton is the secondary publisher to the primary of Griffith and Farran.

Format 2
