The Leavitt and Allen Brothers publishing firm moved in 1875 to new facilities in the New York Trade Center and changed its name to The World Publishing House.
This newly named company in 1875 reprinted the previously published The Bible Story Series, in Words of One Syllable.

This series of five books cost one dollar each.
In 1876, this firm published two 650 page combination books. These volumes contained four of the Bible Story Series books: One book was "Life of Christ and Pilgrim's Progress for the Young" in Words of One Syllable and Bible Stories for the Young. (shown here). The other book was titled Bible Stories for the Young.
Also by 1877 this publisher printed "The Favorite Fairy Tales in Words of One Syllable" by Harriet Audubon. This 832 page book combines all four Audubon books which were previously published as a series by the Allen Brothers and later by Leavitt and Allen Bros.
