This series was released by D. Lothrop & Co. in 1876. During that year the series was divided into "Charming Stories A" which included books #1, 2, 5, 6, and 8. "Charming Stories B" included #3, 4, 7, 9, and 10. They were sold as five volume boxed sets.

By late 1877 ads noted that that were 12 titles in the series. In 1881 there were eight books in the series (#1-8)

Only one format is known at this time.
