These books were first editions copyrighted in 1857 by Henry V. Degen. (Editions in 1858, 1859). Subsequently the series was published by Henry V. Degen and Son (Editions in 1861 and 1862) and later by Degen, Estes & Priest ( 1862-1863) and Degen and Estes (Editions in 1864 and 1865). All four books were part of William H. Hill, Jr.'s six book "Casket Library"
