Beginning in about 1917 a new six book Cinderella Series was published
by Hurst & Co.

This series was published by Hurst & Co. The first list of #1-5 was published from 1893. A second list of five titles was published in 1895. In 1896 book #6 was added to the series. Books #1-10 were published between 1898 and 1901. Beginning in 1902 the list of six titles was published. After 1911 this first "Cinderella Series" was no longer published. Most of the titles thereafter were in the "Christmas Tree Series”. By 1917 there was a new Hurst “Cinderella Series”.
Lithographed board covers. Each book has a unique colored cover picture. Some titles have more than one cover illustration during the series’ years.
Seven formats have been seen.The exact year when one format changed to a second format is unclear at this time.

The early books (prior to 1901) indicate the series name on the spine.
Hurst & Company publishers is noted at the bottom of the cover.
Format 2: Dates unknown
Boards. Full cover lithographed picture. The series name is noted at
the bottom of the cover illustration.
Format 3: dates unknown
Cloth spine. Boards. Book specific colored cover illustration. Stain
glass like decoration on the left side of the cover.
Format 4: dates unknown
Format 5: Dates unknown
Format 6: Dates unknown
Format 7:
Cloth spine. Boards. Book specific colored cover illustration within a
frame.
(This format was used in the Christmas Tree Series (which followed
this series). Thus, this is probably the latest format about
1908-1911)
Format 8:
New Cinderella Series beginning in about 1917.
Cloth back with unique per book illustrated in colors lithographed
covers. 10” x 7.5"
