These books were published after 1851. All the titles had been previously and contemporaneously published by Phillips, Sampson & Co. in its Excelsior Gift Books series.
Interesting that both publishers were printing this series at the same time.

Some books have colored illustrations whereas others have black and white illustrations.
Pre-1855 volumes noted G. W. Cottrell & Co. as the imprint. After 1855 the imprint is G. W. Cottrell.
