Fireside Library
Robert Carter & Brothers began this publisher's series with 25
titles in 1855. In 1856 the series was markedly expanded into the
Fireside Library with series #1-4, each with multiple volumes. As time
went on additional titles were added. This Library was published into
the 1880's.
The books consist of a mix of topics. Some are for juveniles while
others are not. The "Library" is included in the bibliography for
completeness.
The Fireside Library included this list of cloth 18 mo. titles when it
was introduced in 1855. None of the 1855 volumes have been seen.
