This series was initially introduced by James S. Claxton in 1867. Subsequently by 1870 it was being published by Alfred Martien. This series was combined with the "Look Up Library" to form the "Sunny Meadow Library".

The titles are reprints. The books were previously published by William S. and Alfred Martien.

There is no difference in the formats of the three series noted. The only way to differentiate would be to have a boxed set which would identify the series.
