First published by John E. Potter & Co. in 1867. These volumes are first editions. In the 1880's Potter published Headley's works in 24 parts. Most of them were not for juveniles. In the early 1890's Potter published the "Pink and White Series". That series contained these six books in a different format. See the webpage for details.
Illustrated
There were three formats. Initially the books were released clothbound and blindstamped.
Subsequently the books were published in four parts in either gold covers or illuminated covers.
