This series was introduced by D. Lothrop & Co. in 1874 with books # 1, 3 and 4. In 1879 Books #2 and 5 were added to the set.
Although this set was sold boxed, the books were also sold separately as "Pansy Books".
Cloth. Various colors. Gilt cover and spine letter boxes and decorations. 7.25" x 5".
If the book was authored solely by Pansy, the Pansy name in gilt is written on the cover. If the book was written with Huntington or only by Huntington, a gilt decorative pattern is on the cover in place of the Pansy name.
