This series was introduced by Davis, Porter & Co. in 1866. Later in 1866 and 1867 Davis, Porter & Coates published the set. All of these titles are reprints.
Illustrated.
The series books are cloth. Various colors. Blindstamped. Publisher's
initials are embossed on the cover. Spine has gilt lettering and
design. Square. 5.5" x 7.25".
Books #1-3 were also published in cloth as small 4 to. editions.
The latter books are not part of the series.
The set was sold boxed.
