The exact date of Mooney's publication of this series is unknown. Mooney moved to the 97 Cliff Street address in about 1863. Thus this Mooney's set had to be after 1863.
Starting in about 1860 Sheldon & Co., New York, and later in 1867 Hurd & Houghton published this series in the exact format as the Mooney editions. Sheldon's predecessor, Sheldon, Blakeman & Co. published this set in a different format. See: 19th Century Juvenile Series - Indestructible Pleasure Books. C. Shepard, a New York publisher, also printed these titles in the exact format. In 1873 George R. Mooney was printing this series for the publisher, Leavitt & Allen Brothers.
