Sheldon, Blakeman & Co. published six titles ( #1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
and #16) in this series in 1857.
In February, 1860 this series was introduced by Sheldon & Co.
with the first 10 titles. The Three Bears was added to the series in
December, 1860. Later the next seven titles were added to make this an
18 volume series.
Titles #16-18 were added in the 1863 time range. By late 1863 books
#13-15 were no longer in this series.
The precise dates of publication can be difficult to ascertain. But
these books do note a Sheldon address which can narrow the date down
significantly.
