This fourteen volume series was published by Perkinpine & Higgins
in about 1867. All of the titles are reprints.
Previously the titles in this series had been published by Crosby,
Nichols & Co. and its successors.

No. III and XIII were later part of this publisher's "My Uncle's Library".
In 1872 Mrs. Tuthill's Juvenile Library was published with only six
titles. These included:

3. Boarding-School Girl
4. I Will Be a Lady
5. I Will Be a Gentleman
6. Onward! Right Onward
None of these volumes have been seen.
These titles could be purchased per volume or per set.
Formats (pre-1872)
Cloth. Various colors. Blindstamped. Cover has the initials "P &
H" embossed. Gilt lettering, illustration, and decoration on the
spine. 6.25" x 4".
Books from this series have an illustrated title page which notes "The
Juvenile Library"
(No priority has been established between the two covers shown below
but generally with this publisher the vertical initials are later than
the diagonal initials)
