Introduced by Henry McGrath as a series in about 1866. By 1877 Henry McGrath & Sons was publishing this set. Editions in 1867 and 1874 have been noted.
Only two of the titles have known authors.
There were two formats. Both were sold individually or as a set -
clothbound books-boxed or fancy paper books-packaged.
(Fancy paper books have not been seen.)
