The series was first published by John E. Potter in 1865. By 1866 the
titles noted John E. Potter & Co. as the publisher. In about 1867
a one volume, clothbound folio book, "The Little Kitten Stories"
contained all these titles.
These books were published into the late 1870's.
The Potter catalogue notes that these books were in the Little Kitten Series. Interestingly other listings state that book #2 is part of the "Our Favorite Toy Books".
Illustrated
The 1867 volumes had either plain pictures or oil pictures. There is also a variant with gold covers and illuminated pictures. Later the oil pictures were illuminated illustrations.
