This five volume set was published by William D. Ticknor in 1839. (#4 was also printed in 1835) The books are all reprints having been published by Allen & Ticknor in 1833 and others previously. The copyright dates are shown above after the title.
Although there appears to be general acceptance that these books were authored by Francis Hawks, the copyright was by S. G. Goodrich (Peter Parley)
