Format 1
Cloth. Purple/ maroon seen. Blindstamped. Embossed P/C on the format
cover first editions). Gilt design and lettering on the spine. 6.25" x
4". It is unclear at this time but later first format books did not
have the embossed PC on the front cover.
Format 2
Cloth. Maroon and green seen. Gilt spine and cover lettering. Applique
of little children on the front cover (Different for each book)
Format 3
Cloth. Various colors. Cover is the same as format 2 but there is no
applique and the lettering is in black not gilt. Spine has gilt
lettering.
