This series was published by Henry A. Sumner & Co, beginning in 1881.

Although Henry A. Sumner & Co. booklists show "Earning and Spending" as the the first title in this series, it appears that this volume was not published and that it is actually the subtitle for volume #4- "The Two Homes". But of note, Sumner ads do advertise this series for sale as a four volume boxed set. This will need to be clarified in the future.

This series was previously published by Graves and Young as well as Henry A. Young & Co. Subsequently N. Tibbals & Sons printed this series. The Henry A. Young & Co. "Leslie Series" has a different book list from the Sumner list that is shown here. The Young list has five books and includes "Worth and Wealth" and "Secret of Success" but not "Earning and Spending".

The cover format is the same as seen in the “Sweet Clover Stories”.
