Anson D. Randolph published this library beginning in 1856. Volume 1 had been published in a non series format in 1853.
In 1856 each book was published as a two volume edition as well as one volume edition which combined the first and second series of each title. There is no evidence of the two volume editions after the initial printing.

From 1870 on the publisher was Anson D. F. Randolph & Co.
By 1875 the author was shown as E. Prentiss and not "Aunt Susan".

Later copyright in 1883 and 1898 were noted.
These books were reprinted numerous times between 1856 and 1900. In some instances the publication date is on the title page. Other editions have the Randolph address on the title page. The latter books can be ascribed a publication date range.
