Hurst & Co. published this series with five books beginning in
1893.
By 1897 there were six books as "Favorite Fables" was added to the
list.
In 1898 the ten book list was published.
Beginning in 1902 a new six book list made up the "Mother Goose
Series".
The series was published until 1914 without any new changes.

Format 1: 1895-1897
Illuminated board covers. Each book has a unique color cover. Quarto
(No books from this format have been seen)
Format 2: 1898-1914
Cloth back. Illuminated boards. 10” x 7.5”
A number of the titles have been seen with more than one cover.
Dating the cloth back books exactly is a challenge since none of them
are dated.
As can be seen in the pictures below, there are certain patterns that
are present on the covers which surround the actual book picture. But
again, dating them is almost impossible.
